Regeneration is the process used to refuel the the water softener. Salt is drawn from the
brine tank and used as a fuel to recharge the resin in the resin tank.

Are water softeners harmful to septic tanks?

No. There are many studies that indicate that water softeners are actually beneficial to septic tanks.

What is demand?

Demand means your water softener will work off the amount of water you use. It will only refuel when a set amount of gallons flow through it.
